Our Pieces

All CEH Label pieces are handcrafted in Dallas, Texas from start to finish by our skilled artisans. Each item is made to order, therefore the size, finish, wood type, hardware, metal, and interior may be tailored.  We can work from a photograph, sketch, or CAD.  Price will vary by size, and chosen options. Quotes may take from 5-7 days.

All vintage and antique furniture is in "as found" condition, and imperfections expected with age are normal. We personally do not feel that they "take away" from the attractiveness of the piece, but rather add to the vintage character, charm, and patina. 


ETA

Lead times range as each piece is different, and we also refinish vintage and antique items which will vary in condition. Every item is one of a kind, and no two will look exactly alike. This is true with vintage and new builds. This is a normal characteristic of handcrafted or vintage pieces, and we feel is in no way a flaw or defect.

All items require a 50%  nonrefundable deposit to begin work, and quoted approximate timeline begins once size and major details are chosen (color and hardware must be chosen within one week from order). Due the nature of our business we cannot guarantee a firm finish deadline, but will do our best to meet your needs without comprising quality.


Ordering

You may order online here (payment in full is the only option via the website) or email us at thecehome@gmail.com to create an order for with the option for 50% down. Please write the word "ORDER" in the subject line, if possible.  If possible - Please include all information  (size, item use, finish, hardware, delivery address + stairs, and cell in your email with order request).

Shipping and Delivery are additional, and not charged on the website as they vary by carrier. For Richardson and Dallas deliveries, we offer free first floor white glove delivery for one item  (+$75 for each additional). We have a selected day per week for complimentary deliveries.  Other times may be chosen at $100+ per delivery direct to the moving company.


Material

Grasscloth, Raffia, and Fabric are ALWAYS additional to posted price, and supplied by client - we are happy to help, and order in many cases at wholesale pricing. Please note some papers are not a good choice for furniture and mail us a sample to ensure it will be appropriate for furniture application. We can match any brand of paint for our paint or lacquer (Ben Moore, Sherwin Williams, Farrow and Ball, etc.) Keep in mind that colors display differently in photos based on lighting, angle, camera, and even computer browser. Samples of paper, stains, woods, metals, and colors, may be supplied at a supply fee + shipping once the order is placed (this WILL prolong the ETA). We have more information under FAQ's on paint versus lacquer. Lacquer is superior, but more of an investment. See examples of woods, colors, stains, and papers on the website under "favorites". Please note that burlwood is a natural material, and the grain pattern is quite different on each piece. We can offer different species that have more predictable patterns. Grasscloth pieces are all coated in 3 coats of clear lacquer to help protect the finish, but is still porous and needs special care to keep it "like new".  We recommend glass tops for most grasscloth items. Raffia is more stain resistant than sisal. We can lacquer it as well in a color, and that will improve durability.  Many attractive vinyl papers are available as well.

 

Add ons: Glass, new bases, new hardware on vintage, or marble is additional. We work with local suppliers and can help if needed at at an additional charge. For out of state buyers, One Day Glass online is a good source!


Shipping and Delivery

All items must be paid in full prior to booking delivery.  For clients outside of Dallas and Fort Worth, we prefer to ship white glove as the highest level of care is provided to protect your investment ( it includes 2 men, item carried into the home, unpacked from crate). We can also ship UPS freight (crated and left outside the home), or by small individual shippers (best if you are in NO rush - they're similar to Uber so variation is expected ). We will give a shipping estimate, but add ons (like stairs, certain hours, elevators, locations, additional items, etc.) can change the price. We offer free crating for freight and white glove, and at all times the price for the shipping is directly what the shipper charges (we do not up charge). 

IMPORTANT - You will need to inspect items at delivery for damage, and claims must be filed by the customer with shipper. 

We are not responsible for items damaged in transit.  If you choose UPS freight -  Be careful when uncreating the item. When item is delivered, receiver or client MUST immediately inspect it for damage, and report in writing to the carrier/driver on the bill of lading. Please also email us immediately. If damage is reported later, it will be very difficult, if not impossible to file a claim for damage with the shipper. Please take photos of damage to the piece,  packaging, and retain all packaging for documentation required to submit a claim. 


Care

A care sheet is available with each item at delivery. Please check the website footer under "care tips" to download an extra copy. Some items have extra cure time (painted items), and we recommend glass tops for children's items, desks, and high use pieces  (for lacquer, paint, or grasscloth). Avoid extreme temperature changes, cleaning products, direct sunlight, and wipe spills immediately with all items. 


Refund Policy

All items are FINAL SALE only (no returns or exchanges). Please review item details, photos, and policies before ordering. Please reach out by email with any questions. Please review pictures and details carefully. Ask as many questions and request as many photos as you need to in order to feel totally comfortable before purchase, as all sales are final. Vintage items will show their age and may not be perfect. CANCELLATIONS: Can be made within 24 hours of purchase provided the item has not shipped or delivered. A 15% processing and restocking fee for unshipped orders will be assessed after the 24 hour period has elapsed.
